We will finish Dr. Strangelove in class today and then have a group assignment on it and cold war attitudes. Senior final is tomorrow. For seniors, be prepared to do an in class lanahan on your choice of one of the following: #72 Why Americans Still Don't Vote, #67 No Place for Amateurs, or #90 Blowback. The final exam on Tuesday will consist of one prompt for each of the three lanahans and you choose which one you want to respond to. It will be done in class. It is worth 85 points. It is not, so we will do it in class today with copies of the article I am providing. We will watch The Fog of War, which is clips and interviews with Robert McNamara. He was in WW2 and served as Secretary of Defense during the Cuban Missile Crisis and parts of Vietnam. He gives 11 lessons from his life during that time. |
